My name is Kelly and I am thrilled that you have taken the time to visit my little ‘ol blog here at Mom’s Kitchen Gadgets. This blog was inspired by my rather odd obsession with having a drawer full of unique and useful gadgets for cooking and baking.

In fact, one of my fondest Christmas memories includes gadgets for my kitchen. It was a beautiful Christmas morning with tons of snow surrounding our quaint Canadian home. My three kids, in typical chaotic fashion, had torn away the wrapping from their gifts and were excitedly examining their new treasures. My husband handed me a small white shoebox. When I opened it, I found a collection of shiny new gizmos for my kitchen. I squealed with delight.

I realize that for some women (maybe most women); this type of response would be reserved for slightly more elaborate gifts like jewelry, clothes or shoes. A handbag perhaps. But for me, receiving a box full of little gadgets like a pastry cutter, an egg whisk, a vegetable peeler and a cookie scraper, was one of the best gifts I have ever received. I told you it was a weird obsession!

On this blog, I hope to share that passion with you. It is a passion for being in the kitchen, for cooking and baking for my family and finding cool gadgets to make life easier and more fun.
